Meditation
Any mention of awareness can’t go without addressing, at the very least, the basic principles of meditation and how it relates to this amazing faculty of mind. In a very real sense, just as exercise is about strengthening muscles and improving physical health on all levels, meditation is about strengthening the mind and improving mental health.
It’s not overstating things to say that meditation is one of the most positive things you can do with your mind, do at all, period! If you want to change your life, improve it, become happier, healthier, become more ‘tuned in’, achieve your goals, you can’t do it without at least some level of awareness, and meditation is a way of turbocharging it.
Meditation is often misunderstood as it’s not always clear what its core purpose is, and many people feel they can’t do it because they can’t stop thinking. It can also be relegated to the concerns of the religious and spiritually minded, but this could not be further from the truth.
We will attempt to demystify this profound subject, cut to the core of why its potential is so far-reaching, and offer some direct instructions on techniques for meditation practice.
